Metallic taste

I recently canned pinto beans. They seem to have an "off" flavor to them, sort of metallic. Any thoughts as to why they may taste this way?

I haven't canned pinto beans. There is a metallic taste with apple sauce when you don't use sugar. I don't know the specifics of canning pinto beans.
